Our clog museum is located in park Pluimweide at Hoedekenskerke, in recreational centre ‘De Buffer’. Park Pluimweide is situated near the train station of Hoedekenskerke. This station is one of the famous, and still used, stations of the steam railway Foundation ‘Stoomtrein Goes-Borsele’ (short: SGB). The Buffer offers many interesting and relaxing opportunities. A comprehensive exhibition on the art of clog making, live demonstrations, video presentations, a large model railway, clogs and a gift shop. In the coffee corner you can find yourself a seat and get something to drink and eat. From the terrace you can view the outdoor mini railway, with a length of about 800 meters on which children can take a ride around the park. For groups of 20 to 60 persons, booked arrangements are possible. Visiting hours: # Every day the steam train rides (see timetable) Between 11.00am. and 4.30pm. # All Wednesdays and Saturdays in May and June Between 1.00pm. and 4.30pm. # All Saturdays from the 3th of July till the 4th of September Between 1.00pm. and 4.30pm. # On all Sundays and holidays from April till Oktober Live demonstrations making clogs: # 13th - 16th of May (event ‘Sporen naar het Verleden’) # 26th – 27th of July (event ‘Stoompluimen in de Pluimweide’) # On all Wednesdays from 17th of July till 1th of September (see timetable) Packages: Group packages (from ± 20 to 60 persons) on other times are possible.
